Ultimately, the specific topics of debate are secondary. Muslims have fought on the side of the US in the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, in the Civil War, and every war since. That is a fact.

Most religions are similar enough that they can function alongside each other without particular issues, and there certainly are Muslims that can function alongside other religions without particular issues as well. However, even fairly moderate versions (to say nothing of the more extreme versions) of Islam are incompatible with western society (and basically ANY society that is not also Islamic - look at what has been happening in China and Japan recently).

Islam is not really just a religion, it is an entire legal, governing/political, and military ideology as well (and arguably a death cult - look into what the Qur’an says to do with apostates).

One of the earliest major conflicts the USA was involved in was due to Islam, and that certainly wasn’t the only conflict due to Islam.
